Gujarat Earthquake Relief

Followed by the devastating earthquake in Gujarat on January 26, 2001, Vikatan initiated to raise funds for the earthquake relief. We requested our readers to support our fellow brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake by publishing in Ananda Vikatan. Following the request, total contribution by the readers Rs 6,33,000, Vikatan’s fund Rs 67,000 as well as cheques worth of Rs 45,440 to be directly given to the Prime minister’s relief fund was collected. The collected amount was handed over to our then Home minister L.K.Advani by our delhi reporter Mr. Saroj Ganpath on 22/04/2001.
